Haddonfield High School Crew Club (Haddonfield, NJ) is looking for a Head Coach to begin immediately in preparation for the fall 2010 season. HCC rows out of the Cooper River Boathouse and runs a fall and spring competitive program that includes winter conditioning. The Head Coach will be responsible for directing all aspects of the program. This includes development of overall team standards for daily after school practices, scheduling and registration for regattas, supervision of assistant coaches, compliance with the high school athletic department, and effective and complete communication of expectations with athletes and parents.
The right candidate will have strong coaching credentials, be familiar with the dynamics of rowing competitively in the Philadelphia/South Jersey area, and demonstrate energy and enthusiasm at the opportunity to develop a top-notch competitive rowing program at one of the area’s most prestigious public high schools. Compensation will be in the range of $14,000 to $18,000, commensurate with experience.

Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas invites applicants for the position of assistant rowing coach for the 2010-2011 season. Following the classical Jesuit tradition and the motto: “Men for Others,” Jesuit is an all-boys Catholic high school located in Dallas, TX dedicated to the formation of young men who are open to growth, intellectual competent, physically fit, loving, religious, and committed to working for justice.
Jesuit practices out of the recently constructed boathouse on White Rock Lake. The Jesuit rowing program is a varsity sport in its 10th year and has grown into a regional and national presence. The rowing team currently consists of 50+ young men and competes primarily in 8+ and 4+ shells.
We are looking for an assistant coach with the experience necessary to help continue to build the program. Candidates should expect to work with both novice and JV and Varsity athletes. Candidates must have a Bachelors degree and competitive rowing experience; coaching experience is strongly preferred.
Candidates should expect to attend practice after the school (from approximately 4:00-6:30) day 5 days a week in the Fall season and 6 days a week in the Spring. Travel to regattas during several weekends in the Fall and Spring is also expected.

Lake Braddock Crew, located in Burke, Virginia, has a need for assistant coaches for the 2010-2011 scholastic crew season. Practices are held in the afternoons beginning in late November 2010, for winter conditioning, and concluding in late May at the culmination of the scholastic racing season. Winter conditioning practices are held at Lake Braddock Secondary School; spring practices (on the water) are held at Bull Run Marina, in Clifton, VA. Successful candidates will have commitment to and passion for the sport and inspire athletes to perform at their highest potential. Additional duties include: planning and running efficient practices, developing athlete technique and fitness, and preparing squads for racing. Coaches are also expected to attend all races, staff meetings, and recruiting events. USRowing coaching certifications, or the ability to obtain them, is required. CPR and First Aid training is also highly recommended. Previous collegiate rowing experience and coaching experience is not necessary but highly recommended. Harriton Boat Club is seeking assistant coach for Fall 2010 rowing program. The co-ed program consists of 20-30 novice and varsity rowers from our spring season. This Coach will assist in the development of the novice rowers into competitive varsity athletes. Practices are after school (Mon-Thurs) and Saturdays.

Savannah Country Day School is seeking a coach for our crew for the 2010-2011 season. We are a co-ed team with an expanding presence in the southeast seeking to continue to grow. In order to accomplish this goal, we need to employ a dynamic and committed coach who desires success and is willing to work with the team through the fall, winter, and spring. Some experience is preferred, but youth and enthusiasm--in addition to a real grounding in the fundamentals of teaching rowing based on significant time on the water--goes a long way.
We have an active and committed student and parent body, and you will find both support and year-round training weather in the beautiful Savannah area.

Whitemarsh Boat Club is looking for experienced Coxswains for the upcoming Summer and Fall Master's Racing Season and for Club Rows. This would be a great fit for student rowers/coxswains who are on break from school or other adults with prior coxswain experience. Carnegie Mellon Crew is looking for a Head Coach to begin in the fall 2010 season.
Located in Pittsburgh, PA Carnegie Mellon has fielded competitive men’s and women’s crews since 1987. As member of American Collegiate Rowing Association we compete in fall and spring races throughout the Northeast and Mid Atlantic regions. Over the years we’ve been competitive at regattas such as Head of the Charles and Dad Vail Regatta.
The Head Coach of the Rowing Club is responsible for directing all aspects of the team. This includes supervising daily practices of the varsity squad, organization of a competitive racing program, maintaining adequate safety standards for the program, maintaining equipment, operating within the club’s budget, and directing and supervising assistant coaches. Other duties are outlined in the Head Coach's Standard of Expectations.
Compensation: $16,000 – $20,000, based on experience

Varsity Head Coach Opening: Chestnut Hill Academy is seeking to fill the position of Head Varsity Crew Coach for the upcoming spring season. Chestnut Hill is an independent day school for boy's situated in the Chestnut Hill area of Philadelphia. Our team has a great reputation and we currently have many individuals competing at the collegiate level. We practice out of the University Barge Club during the spring and fall season and we do our winter dry-land training at the Springside tank and both the CHA and Springside fitness centers. ASSISTANT VARSITY COACH WANTED - The Baldwin School is seeking an assistant varsity coach for its high school girls’ crew. Baldwin is an independent day school for girls located in Bryn Mawr, PA. The team is well established as one of the oldest girls teams on the Schuylkill River with a supportive athletic department and parents’ group. The Penn State University Club Crew Team is seeking an additional Novice Coach. This position is responsible for coaching alongside our current Novice Coach, and is also responsible to the Head Coach for performing or assisting with a variety of coaching duties in order to accomplish the goals and objectives of the team, the Club Sports Program, and the University.
