If you've not already, please read Update #1 below.

Please take a second to review these note:
The safest and fairest way to run 245 races in July heat is to keep the regatta on a tight schedule. We will be ruthless in starting races on time and will not hold races for any reason.
Weigh-ins at #4 Boathouse Row:
Masters crews are reminded of the rule requiring them to report any line-up changes in writing not less than 2 hours prior to the start of the race. Violators risk disqualification!
Report all scratches as soon as you know of them, either by email thru Thursday, at the finish tower on Friday or at the regatta HQ tent at the Canoe Club during the regatta.
The Schuylkill Navy will present Diplomas of Victory to winners of the Schuylkill Navy Regatta on Friday, June 28, at 7:00 pm at Malta Boat Club. The entire rowing community is invited.

We'll have a running tally at the regatta HQ tent at the Canoe Club on Saturday and Sunday. Composite crews are not eligible for points. (Rolodex crews get negative points. Just kidding.) Please let us know if your crew is a composite.
Princeton Training Center will send 3 men's eights and 3 women's eights for the National Team races on Sunday afternoon. The top three boats from the IDR M8 and W8 on Saturday afternoon will be invited to race the US National Team. PTC will also bring four straight 4's (they don't have any 4+s) for an NT4- race, also on Sunday afternoon. I'm not sure how this will work, but top crews from the IDR M4+ will be invited to race PTC in straight fours, i.e. all crews rowing 4-'s.
245 races, 890 boats and 2,586 athletes representing 83 organizations, and only a handful of volunteers. We need some help. Just a few more hands will lighten the load for all of us and make the regatta go more smoothly. Here's what we need:
Penn AC is having a party to help fund the Men's 2x (Dana Schmunk and Dan Beery) which will be traveling to Lucerne for the mid-July World Cup races. This party will by on Sunday, June 30th at 6 p.m. (immediately following the races.) We will have plenty of food for all the hungry rowers at 6 p.m.; you won't have to scrounge for dinner right after racing. Roast Beef, Pizza, Hamburgers and Hot-dogs, Salads, and drinks (much to drink). There will be a $15 fee to get into the party. We will also be having a raffle at the party ($20 per ticket) and plan on drawing the numbers no later than 8:30 p.m. Ted Nash has donated an Olympic Awards Ceremony Jacket from 2000; we will also have a few U.S.A. shirts, Penn AC Sweatshirts, and other assorted Gear (More than 20 prizes will be given out). We have not confirmed, but may have a German shirt donated by Gabriele Cipollone. If anyone else would like to donate something for the raffle (or give a 501-c3 tax-deductible contribution) to help the boys get to Lucerne, please stop by the club or call Dana at 267-879-9130.
We'll have vendors at the Canoe Club again this year. Please support our vendors and make a visit. Buy an official Independence Day Regatta T-shirt or a new Schuylkill Navy T-shirt at the Rubini tent.
Rich Prager, Bachelors Barge Club, is selling a single to a rower in New Hampshire. He's looking for help in moving the boat and sculls to New England and will negotiate a fee.

Here are the events offered at the regatta:

Masters crews are reminded of the rule requiring them to report any line-up changes in writing not less than 2 hours prior to the start of the race. This allows the regatta committee time to recompute the age handicap and announce it to the other competitors prior to the start of the race. Violators risk disqualification!
