Here's what I've been told by the Philadelphia police and Fairmount Park Special Events office: Kelly Drive will be closed for the regatta, a standard regatta Drive closure:
On Saturday, July 2, Kelly Drive will be closed for the regatta starting at 7 am. Once closed, diagonal parking is permitted on river side of Kelly Drive, from the Canoe Club to Fountain Green and Grant's statue. So, people rowing from Boathouse Row can park and walk. Cars must have an IDR parking pass to get thru police barricades at Strawberry Mansion bridge. Parking on the grass strictly prohibited; violaters will be ticketed. Drive reopens at 6 pm. We plan to have extra security overnight. Looking for a parking pass?
