What: A 1000m event offering racing experience for masters rowers who have rowed less than 5 years as well as more experienced masters rowers who have never raced.
When: Sunday, September 11, 2005 beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Where: Race course - four lanes--will be downriver between the Columbia and Girard Avenue Bridges. Boats can launch only from Boathouse Row or from the Canoe Club.
Races: Men's and Women's: Singles, Recreational Singles, Doubles and Quads and, for fun, Mixed Quads picked from a hat.
Registration: Deadline for receipt of applications is Thursday, September 8; Day of race registration at Penn AC (#12 Boathouse Row) on a space available basis between 7 and 8 am (so we have time to re-calculate handicaps). Waivers must be signed day of the race at Penn AC. Please send application form, which you can print out from this web page and a check for the total entry fee payable to Penn AC Rowing Association to Gabi Cipollone, 208 Williamsburg Road, Ardmore, PA 19003-3104.
More Details: We expect to have two races per event, with entrants grouped by age as much as possible. There will be time handicaps, applied at the start. The oldest rower will start first, the next oldest will start after a delay, etc.

Singles: $25
Doubles: $40
Quads $60
Mixed Quads: No fee
A First Place Certificate including the winner's name(s) will be awarded for each race, to be sent by mail.
