The 81^st Annual Stotesbury Cup Regatta
May 18 and 19, 2007

With 850 boats and more than 5,100 athletes from 175 high schools, it's the biggest high school regatta ever!!

Registration is Thursday, May 17, 3:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., Lloyd Hall
Coaches and Coxswains Meeting - A meeting for all coaches, coxswains, single scullers, and bowmen/women in doubles and quads will be held Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Lloyd Hall, #1 Boathouse Row. All crews will be responsible for the information delivered at the meeting.
Weigh-ins are Thursday, 3:00 to 6:00 pm, and Friday, 7:00 to 10:00 am, at the Athlete's Village near the Three Angels. Crews must weigh in wearing racing uniforms, and no weight allowance will be permitted. All members of a boat must be present. Coxswains do not weigh in.
Please remind your crews of this very strictly enforced rule: Unsportsmanlike Conduct - The crew of any competitor caught stealing or engaging in any unsportsmanlike conduct will, at the discretion of the Regatta Committee, be disqualified.

No tents may be set before Thursday, May 17.

No rented port-a-potties permitted in the venue. The regatta committee will provide an adequate supply.

The regatta format is as follows:

Friday: Time trials for all boats, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. An hour break to set stake boats, then semifinals to 6:12 pm.
Saturday morning: Semifinals continue, 8:00 am to the lunch break.
Saturday afternoon: Finals, starting at 12:45 pm, every ten minutes until the Stotesbury Cup race for Boys Senior Eights at 5:30 pm.

Launching and Recovery during time trials:

For teams recovering at the Three Angels dock, be aware that there may be a delay in getting your boat off the river. We strongly advise that you have appropriate clothing and fluids with you when you launch in anticipation of a delay in recovery.
Boats will be marshaled into the recovery dock in the bow number order.
Hot seating will be allowed based on approval from the dockmaster. In order to hot seat, the coach must discuss the plan with the dockmaster. If approved, the dockmaster will provide a hot sheet placard. The returning crew must alert the marshall of the hot seat and follow the marshall's directions for returning to the dock.
All teams must provide assistance to launching and recovering crews to facilitate timely dock management. This must include extra people to carry oars. We do not want the rowers to make an extra trip up the ramp to get or drop off oars. Each team must provide one person for every two sweep oars or pair of sculling oars.
- Singles: one extra person to carry one set of sculling blades.
