The boat is a very distinctive purple Fluidesign heavyweight single, serial # YFW81135K808. Alex Taaffe from Pine View HS in Florida rowed it to 2nd place in the time trial on Friday but when he retuned for the semis on Saturday it had been taken from the boat trailer.

A set of Dreher Aero sculling blades and a set of Croker sculling blades were also stolen. Both sets were unpainted.
