Murphy Cup
The Temple University men's varsity eight powered to victory for the Murphy Cup in the annual college regatta staged by the Owls on the Schuylkill.
Coach Gavin White's oarsmen raced the 2,000 meters in rough conditions in 5:49, finishing in front of Drexel by 2 1/2 lengths.
Drexel was timed in 5:59.2, and was followed home by Rochester, George Mason and Villanova.
